The purpose of The Bush Family Association of America is to preserve the ancestral heritage and records of this family line for posterity, and to provide the means for discovering, maintaining, perpetuating, reviving, and forming Bush family contacts, friendships and associations.
In order to accomplish this, we intend:
- To encourage and develop contacts among all members of the descendants of Prescott and Susannah Hines Bush of Edgefield, South Carolina and Webster County, Georgia, wherever such descendants may reside, as well as of their proved ancestors from Virginia, North Carolina, and Essex County, England.
- To hold an annual reunion and meeting of the membership during the third weekend in July or at such time and place as the membership shall determine.
- To encourage, develop and disseminate research and study of the genealogy of various related branches of this Bush family.
Membership is open to all descendants of, and others actively interested in, this Bush line. Annual dues are currently $10 per year. Click here to download the membership application.
The first Bush Family Association of America Reunion was held in Laurel, MS in 1988. We alternate each year with the even years to be in Laurel,
MS and the odd year to be hosted out of state.
